Item Description

Watercolor

17" x 20" x 0.5"

Vesna Longton graduated from Moscow State Pedagogical University, Faculty of Fine Art in 1996. She specializes in experimental interdisciplinary art including 3D glass, resin painting, and sculpture. Vesna uses symbolism and metaphor and experiments with the influence of art on human self-development, somatic and connection with the soul of the multiverse. She is an active member of the AAM and Pawtucket Arts Collaborative. Her works are in private collections in Russia, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Greece and the US.

This piece was created at a time in the artist's life when she had a studio on a terrace with big windows. Through them she looked at the change of seasons with fascination. It was a tough time in the artist's life, she worked 6 days a week, and had little time to paint. Watercolors became a quick medium in which to paint a desired subject before going to work. For this particular piece, the artist saw beautiful winter colors, and rushed to paint the scene!
