The Thirteenth Annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival's The Art of Food & Wine has become a platform to showcase artists of all mediums—painters, sculptors, mixed media, ceramics, photography, florals and even augmented reality! Feast your eyes, and tastebuds, on culinary works of art inspired by esteemed local artists and up-and-coming creatives.

ABOUT THE PAINTING:

Brought to you as part of a multi-sensory experience with michelin star pastry chef Eunji Lee, this painting is meant to engage all the senses paired with Lysée’s specialty dessert “Petit Jardin”. As a nod to the chef’s rich French culinary background, the title of this work, “Reste Du Jardin” translates to “Rest of the Garden”.

The colors of this work intend to complement the dessert rather than imitate it, and encourage the viewer to imagine what is beyond the small garden - “Petit Jardin”. Experienced together, the dessert and the painting will offer guests a special moment in time that was curated with both taste and visual stimuli in mind.
