Anika’s work represents music and movement. She has a perceptual phenomenon called Synesthesia in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. For Anika this means when she hears music she experiences colors and textures associated with those sounds. This carries into her art as she tries to share her experience with the viewer. Her series “Music and Movement” has been shown in Utah, Calgary, Alberta, Newport, Oregon and Arizona. The originals in the series are quite large, averaging 36” x 48” and painted in Oil.
Originals can be purchased by contacting Anika at Flowerstone.studio@gmail.com
