Item Description
Tisiphone, 2024, acrylic on canvas, 16 ” x 20 ” / acrylique sur toile, 16 po x 20 po
Tisiphone is one of the three Ancient Greek Furies and is known as the goddess of vengeful destruction. She is depicted here under the moonlight with damaged wings, holding a leather whip and a funeral torch. As a survivor of violence, Tisiphone spoke to me as a protector against abuse and a reminder that it's okay to be angry about what happened to me.
