Orange Room Project 2024 - Stacks and Stacks of Color!
The Orange Room has been inspired by Kadinsky's color studies and Montessori materials to create this beautiful work of concentric circles. Friends used Montessori Graded Circles from the geometry cabinet as models to trace and cut brilliantly colored circles from felt. Stacking the circles from large to small was just like using the Pink Tower! Everyone had fun stacking different colors to see which looked great together. Finally, each stack was finished with a button. While each primary student may not have sewn their own button, they have been practicing button sewing with a new Orange Room work in Practical Life. The finished project is not only a colorful and pleasing piece of art for your home, but also a reminder of Orange Room 2024 and an homage to Montessori Primary Materials.
