Item Description
Beautiful Pysanka Ukrainian Easter Egg with display ring and gift box.
Crosses represent some aspect of Christian Faith. The cross recalls Christ's suffering, and is the symbol of Christianity.
What is a pysanka? Simply put, it is an Easter egg decorated using a wax resist (aka batik) method. Its name derives from the Ukrainian verb “pysaty,” meaning “to write.” (“Pysanka” is the singular form; “pysanky” is plural.) But it is much more than that. Ukrainians have been decorating eggs, creating these miniature jewels, for countless generations.
Blown shells are very fragile. Handle as little as possible. Keep out of direct light to prevent fading.
Local pickup or shipping charges will be added to winning bid.
