Hike the 'Aiea Loop / 'Aiea Ridge trail, searching for native plants and learning about biocultural conservation with Living Treasure of Hawai'i (2014) Dr. Sam 'Ohu Gon. Sam is a Kumu Oli (teacher of Hawaiian chant and ceremony) in the halau-in-residence at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum, Senior Scientist & Cultural Advisor for The Nature Conservancy of Hawai'i, and serves as one of NTBG's Science Trustees.
*This vigorous hike requires physical ability to ford streams, hike steep paths, etc.
*6 Hours including lunch on the hike.
*Wear hiking shoes; bring sunscreen, hat, and rain gear.
*$350 Southwest Airlines Gift Card included, donated by Trustee Tom Hewitt.
*Ground transportation on your own to and from meet-up location.
*Mutually agreed upon date and time with Dr. Gon.

Local pickup can be arranged at our headquarters office in Kalaheo, HI. Items must be picked up in 60 days.
