Item Description
Be a part of Coconut Grove’s vibrant history with a three-night stay at the Ebenezer Woodberry Franklin Stirrup House.
One of Miami’s pioneering African-American citizens, Stirrup migrated from Harbour Island, Bahamas, in 1888 and apprenticed under his uncle, who was a carpenter. This provided him with the skills to construct his home, as well as the 100+ homes he would build to rent to other settlers.
Stirrup House is a superior example of wood frame vernacular architecture, and is constructed of Dade County pine. With two stories, five ensuite private bedrooms, and a welcoming common area, this is your intimate getaway in the incomparable South Florida neighborhood of Coconut Grove. Located near The Kampong, fine dining, hip and casual restaurants, sidewalk cafes, galleries and specialty boutiques, the Stirrup House is the perfect place to get away from the stresses of big city life and enjoy the renowned tranquil lifestyle of Coconut Grove.
Three night stay for 2 in one of the rooms at the Stirrup House.
