Item Description
NATIVE AMERICAN PRINT. SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY THE ARTIST, KEN SCHMIDT: #597/900
The warrior is "Little Whirlwind". Only men of their most elite warrior society could wear the black hand and in battle their objective was to kill the war chiefs, thus throwing the enemy into a state of fear and confusion. The enemy of the Mohawk, a name which means flesh eater, knew that these warriors would then eat the heart, lungs, and liver of their vanquished leaders, thus gaining his strength, wind and life making the Mohawk with the black hand covering his mouth someone to fear." An absolute stunning portrayal of a great Mohawk warrior.
