Item Description
1 gallon.
Endemic to Hawai'i and almost extinct on Kaua`i.
One of the hardest woods to be found in Hawai'i, known to sink in water and heartwood becomes almost black over time. Also a nitrogen fixer for the soil.
This is an endangered / PEP species - only plant it in the premises of your property.
Uhiuhi will do best in part shade, not full sun, either afternoon or early morning. Prefers well-drained soil and doesn't like to be constantly wet in the root area. Easily develops root rot if watering is too consistent.
