Item Description

Blue Cape Cellars wines are made in Santa Barbara County from world-famous vineyard locations in the Sta Rita Hills and Los Alamos.

The 2013 Pinot Noir won 92 points and an "Exceptional" rating with a gold medal at the Tastings.com World Wine Championships. Judges described it as, "Garnet color, fruity light-to-medium body and a graceful, nuanced finish with light oak flavor. An outgoing, mature Pinot Noir with a distinctive note of ripe stone fruit; drink up."

The Blue Cape Cellars name and logo honor winemaker Kim Hartleroad's late mother Aletha who proudly wore a blue cape working as a registered nurse. The fields of grain pictured on the label are reminiscent of the golden wheat she grew up around on her family's farm in Kansas.
