Up to a 3-night stay in a delightful 3-bedroom, 2-bath cabin near Kernville river and Lake Isabella. 

Lake Isabella sits in the heart of the Kern River Valley and the high desert region of the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains and is California’s best kept secret. With many activities, including fishing, hiking, camping, windsurfing, skiing, or just relaxing, the lake itself has much to offer.

The cabin is located in Wofford Heights, nestled amidst the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountains. It offers a playground for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Whether you're a hiking maven, a water sports lover, or simply looking for a serene getaway, this charming city has something for everyone.

The city is spread out along the foot of the steep hillsides, against a backdrop of pine forest. It's near the Sequoia National Forest, and so makes a good base camp for anyone exploring the area. Non-lake activities include hiking and biking, golf, horseback riding and camping. The nearby town of Kernville has a quaint western flair, and offers many antique shops and specialty shops, restaurants, a wildlife preserve and museum. The Kernville Whiskey Flat Days is an annual event that continues for four days when the whole town returns to the days of the wild, wild west. Other options for fun in the Wofford Heights area include visiting the Silver City ghost town, exploring the back roads and small towns of French Gulch, Pioneer Point, Paradise Cove and Hungry Gulch. Alta Sierra is another small community located on the hills behind Wofford Heights that includes a shady pine forest and secluded campgrounds.

Sleeps 5 people. Dates to be determined with owner, no holidays, and please note that it is approximately a 20 minute drive up from the main road. Visit must be completed by October 31st, 2025.

Please check that your information is up-to-date. Item will be available for delivery or pickup in Santa Monica by mutual arrangement. Electronic transfer may be possible in some cases, or item can be mailed/shipped with insurance at the winning Bidder’s expense (est. $10) and tracking number will be provided for parcels. Thereafter, the shipper, not Samohi Choir or SMAPA, is responsible for successful delivery. In the event that a company, organization or event goes out of business, is cancelled, or is no longer able to provide the donated service, no refunds will be issued and your generous contribution will become a tax-deductible donation to Samohi Choir in support of arts education.
