Item Description

13.5" x 10.5" x 1.75"

Robin Wessman holds a Masters in Fine Art from Ohio University and completed workshops at the Academy of Realism in Boston. He is represented by the Copley Society in Boston and Larkin Gallery in Provincetown, MA. Robin is known mostly for his unusual still life paintings which have been published in numerous magazines, including Artist Closeup Magazine and an online interview with Arts Light Cape Cod Magazine. Robin currently teaches painting at the Cape Cod Art Center in Barnstable, MA.

"Harmony" is one of Robin's unusual still life paintings that take ordinary objects beyond an accurate depiction of the subject to create images that require a second look. Using the indirect method, his paintings take weeks to complete. As with many of his paintings there are multiple layers of inspiration and meaning that develop as the painting progresses. In this case, the title helps complete some of the inspiration which came from working with the beauty of nature and the magic of light.
