Item Description

Monotype

25" x "18" x "1"

Carol Sacks is a local painter and printmaker who studied at Mass College of Art & Design. She is a member of several art organizations, including the RI watercolor Society, the New Art Center, and the Monotype Guild of NE. She has participated in many juried shows, and her work is in private collections in the US and England. Carol is especially interested in interpreting topics relating to nature, and presenting them in ways that amplify their beauty.

"Autumn Reverie" is inspired by the twenty years the artist lived in VT, and experienced the gorgeous change of colors of the foliage in the fall. Beholding the Green Mountains turn to gold, scarlet and orange against a foreground of farmland with cows and hay stacks is truly memorable. The artist tried to capture this transition is a somewhat abstract way.
