Item Description

Sculpture with found objects and repurposed materials

3.75" x 3.25" x 1.75"

Roberta Masciarelli is a visual artist based in Dallas, TX who has dedicated her career to creating mixed media and sculptures using found objects and recycled materials. Her background in architecture has influenced her approach to building and constructing structures with repurposed materials. She received the Virginia and Andre Belly Award at the 90th San Antonio Art League & Museum Juried Exhibition and the Fred Plank Sculpture Award at the 92nd San Antonio Art League & Museum.

"Strider" is a small artwork from the "Glass House" series, where the artist used the names of some little souls who have gone to play on the other side of the garden. Two of them were her pets, and the others belonged to friends and family. It was a pleasure to have known them and honor them in this piece.
