Item Description

Photography

16" x 24" x 1"

Ashley Saccoach graduated from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University in 2008 with a degree in photography. After working as a photographer in the advertising industry, Ashley transitioned into mental health counseling, where she now integrates photography as a therapeutic tool. Her work uniquely merges creative vision with emotional depth, offering visual stories that foster introspection and healing.

Taken in Iceland in 2023, this photograph captures snow-covered rocks inspired by Icelandic troll folklore and a profound sense of calm and solitude. The image reflects how emotions shape our perception of nature, revealing a timeless bond between the natural world and human myths. It evokes a mystical connection and enduring legend, where personal feelings of tranquility and isolation are intricately woven into the landscape.
