Item Description

Photography

10" x 10" x 1"

Marc Sirinsky holds a BFA from the University of MI School of Art and Design. His photography and has been included in over 70 juried, solo, and group exhibitions and has appeared in publications like F-Stop Magazine, The Hand Magazine, and Photographer's Forum. His museum credits include the AAM, the Bonita Art Museum, and the Bristol Art Museum. His work can be found in the permanent collections of the Chicago Public Library and the Griffin Museum of Photography.

"Still Life With Wheelbarrow" is a Gelatin Silver Print on warm-toned, fiber-based paper. It was produced in Marc's home darkroom early in his career - around the same time as "Still Life With Chair" (they have often been exhibited together). Themes of home, memory, and childhood have been mainstays of Marc's work; and this piece shows a moment in time when those concepts were just coming to fruition.

A personal favorite of Marc's - this print is #3 of 10, and is signed and numbered in-verso.
