Ms. Leeman earned her BA in studio art from Oberlin College and MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Ms. Leeman and her family reside in Columbus, OH.

"Book of Esther P11" captures the biblical story's existential challenges to a young beautiful girl forced to marry a king she barely knows in a society that compelled her to hide her ethnicity out of fear. When the time comes she stands up for her nation and saves it from genocide. This piece alludes to master paintings about Esther and maps of ancient Persia to develop a palette, imagery and symbolism.
