Item Description

Oil

8 1/2' x 8 1/2" x 1/2"

Christina Beecher is an active member and volunteer at the AAM and holds a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. She is active in the local art scene and is proud to be represented by The Next Door Gallery in Mansfield, MA and True Grit Gallery in Middleboro, MA. Beecher is also an active artist and board member at Galatea Fine Art in Boston, MA. Beecher loves painting the New England landscape, focusing on the light and the time of day.

"Clearing at Moose Hill" is one of many scenes Beecher observes while biking along one of her many training rides for the Pan Mass Challenge. Of course, she can only catch glimpses as she rides but the visuals lock into her head. A far away tree line and cloud formations are anchored with a grassy meadow and combined in this work as she visualizes these different locations. Beecher organizes and integrates these areas together, not as originally seen, but instead as she recalls feeling them.
