Item Description

This 33” x 22” excellent classic revival of a Moqui blanket weaving with rich blue dyes and two prominent spider woman crosses. Spider woman was the iconoclastic spirit who gift the Navajos with the power to weave textiles, and three bold crosses with the square yellow tips on their ends represent her image and spirit. Circa 1990. The description and appraisal of value is provided by Terry DeWald, a member of the Antique Tribal Art Dealers Association.
