Item Description
Porcelain vase was made in Vienna, Austria by the Augarten Porcelain Manufactory. Viennese Rose Pattern. It is a numbered piece. 10" inches tall.
The production of porcelain in Vienna is a part of the great artistic tradition of the city's past and present. The manufactory was founded in 1718 and was taken over in 1744 by the House of Habsburg under Empress Maria Theresia. Since that time, its products carry the banded shield, the coat of arms of the former Austrian ruling family, as its factory mark.
At Augarten Castle, every piece of porcelain is still handmade and hand painted.
The Viennese Rose pattern was created in 1924 by a group of painters.
The guarantee certificate not only confirms that a piece of Augarten porcelain is a genuine work of Austrian applied art, it also guarantees an unlimited possibility for replacement purchase in the future.
