Item Description
It’s an Olympic Year!
The Milan-Cortina Olympics are months away (Feb 2026), so what better way to get in the spirit than to visit Lake Placid, NY, the beautiful hamlet nestled in the Adirondack Park? The Village hosted two Winter Olympic Games (1932 and 1980) and is the place where Team USA won the Ice Hockey Olympic Gold Medal aka the “Miracle on Ice."
Paul Wylie, 1992 Olympic Silver Medalist and HVC Hall of Famer will tour you around the facilities. You can skate with him on the Olympic Arenas or on the Speed Skating Oval! He can also show you the other facilities in Lake Placid, including the Olympic Training Center, the Bobsled/Skeleton/Luge track at Mount van Hoevenberg, the Ski Jumps and Alpine Skiing venues at Whiteface Mountain.
Paul will provide a captivating tour of Lake Placid’s extensive training and competition venues, replete with stories and insights from his experiences as an Olympian, and you can ask him for previews of the upcoming XXV Olympic Winter Games in Milan Cortina. This is a great item for the Olympic Aficionado, or for a family who is wanting to be inspired.
