Item Description
Enjoy lunch with Irish Rep co-founders Charlotte Moore and Ciarán O'Reilly! Learn more about their extensive careers and how they founded Irish Rep 36 years ago.
In the heart of New York's Theater District, Sardi's has hosted thousands of Broadway opening and closing parties, making it one of the most historic restaurants in New York theatre history. One of it's main draws the caricatures lining the walls, featuring essential figures from the American theatre - including Charlotte Moore and Ciarán O'Reilly!
Ciarán O'Reilly received The Richard Seff Award from the Actors' Equity Association last year for his performance in Philadelphia, Here I Come! (which he also directed). He has had an extensive career, both on-stage and off, having recently directed Irish Rep's Beckett Briefs, Love Letters, Endgame, and The Butcher Boy. Upcoming, he is directing Irish Rep's staging of Conor McPherson's The Weir.
Charlotte Moore has recently directed two shows in Irish Rep's Brian Friel Season: Aristocrats and Molly Sweeney, as well as the 2024 revival of the holiday classic, A Child's Christmas in Wales. Outside of her work as Irish Rep's Artistic Director, she has received two Tony Award nominations, the Outer Critics Circle Award, the Drama Desk Award, the Drama League Award, the Irish America Top 100 Irish Award, The Eugene O’Neill Lifetime Achievement Award, and the 2008 Irish Women Of The Year Award.
Charlotte and Ciarán have been inducted in to the Irish America Hall of Fame and awarded the Presidential Distinguished Service Award for the Irish Abroad in 2019 by President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins."
