Item Description
This rare treasure honoring the men and women who have served our country--some through the ultimate sacrifice--has been painstakingly crafted and lovingly donated by Ellen Kozel, Executive Director of Vets Do Ask Do Tell, LLC.
This stunning needlework of the American bald eagle and the five branches of military service (Navy, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Air Corps) has been stitched onto a remnant of an American flag. Also part of the needlework in an exterior blue circle is the reminder that "The nation which forgets its defenders will itself be forgotten." In a golden scroll at the bottom are the words "Fallen Heroes," and in the inside of the circle appears "In memory of our troops--defenders of our freedom."
This beautiful artwork measures 17.5" x 16" and has been placed in a wooden frame, with glass protecting both the front and back of the needlework.
