The Breast and GYN Health Project is a community resource of support and education for those facing a breast or gynecologic cancer concern. Located in Arcata, California, HCBHP was founded 20 years ago. It is a grassroots organization using the "Wounded Healer" and "Patient Advocacy" models to help clients become their own best medical advocates. With peer support, medical decision making support, support groups and patient navigation support we aim to help clients have the best outcome possible on their cancer journey. All services are free of charge. About 85% of BGHP's funding comes from individual donors and events like this on-line auction. We are not part of a large cancer organization. Our services include a patient navigation program, support groups, information specialists, warmline volunteers, an extensive resource library, and more.
