Comedy AND a Live Auction? What could be more fun? Come prepared to laugh and go home with amazing auction items. Our host is J.R. Havlan who spent the last 18 years writing for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart where he won 8 Emmy Awards and contributed to the show’s two best
selling books, America: The Book and Earth: The Book. A proud father and uncle to a small band of happy and curious Montessori students, J.R. also wrote for the Academy Awards in 2006 and 2008 and has performed stand-up comedy on both The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. 

Our headliner is Hari Kondabolu, a Brooklyn-based, Queens-raised comic whom the NY Times called “one of the most exciting political comics in stand- up today.” In 2014, he released his debut standup album Waiting for 2042 and was interviewed on NPR’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross. He has performed on the Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and John Oliver’s New York Standup Show, plus in his own Comedy Central Presents half-hour television special. He was also a writer and correspondent for the Chris Rock-produced Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell on FX. A regular on the public radio circuit, he has appeared on Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Studio 360, Bullseye and Soundcheck.
