biography:

paige starling sorvillo is a Pilates practitioner, Hendrickson Method Orthopedic Manual Therapist, and choreographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1997. Dancing since church-basement-ballet at age 3, paige was originally drawn to Pilates to heal from a repetitive strain injury to her shoulder.

Now, she brings together the release-based work of Hendrickson Manual Therapy with the targeted strengthening of Pilates to assist her clients in dissolving painful and/or inefficient movement patterns to allow more easeful pain-free patterns to emerge.

Her teaching and bodywork practice focuses on rehabilitation for both chronic and acute musculoskeletal injury while promoting healing and balance for the whole person. Her detailed, intuitive and creative rehabilitation-focused sessions are balanced by her vigorous and precise group teaching, challenging and entertaining the most demanding fitness-based clients. In addition to her in-studio teaching, she is always happy to offer the dedicated student a homework plan. Originally trained in Pilates by Barbara Van Winkle, paige was certified in the Pilates Method by Ellie Herman in 2001 and has further focused her practice via continuing education in Pilates-based rehabilitation with Lizz Roman, Polestar Education and many others.  She studied the Hendrickson Method for Orthopedic Manual Therapy with Tom Hendrickson, Frank Haseloff, and Giles Gamble in Berkeley. Her choreographic works have been presented in San Francisco, Oakland, Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Germany and the Czech Republic.

2015 AVAILABILITY, RATES & POLICIES ::

paige is available for Pilates rehabilitation private sessions, Hendrickson method Orthopedic Manual Therapy private sessions, Pilates fitness private & duet sessions, small group classes, and off-site events.

Oakland Availability: M/W/F at 3929 Grand Avenue at Jean St.

San Francisco Availability: T/Th at 2130a Harrison St at 17th St.

Private Pilates and/or Hendrickson Method (55m / 85m) :: 

$90 / 55m session; $435 / five; $850 / ten; $1600 / twenty

$135 / 85m session; $650 / five; $1275 / ten; $2400 / twenty

Duet Pilates (55m) ::

$50 per person / single hour; $285 / six; $540 / twelve

note  ::  If one partner "late cancels", the other partner gets a solo for the price of a duo.  If one partner "early cancels", the remaining partner may opt to skip with no "late cancel" or come in for a regular solo.

Small Group Pilates - 6 student maximum (55m) ::

$255 / eight-class series (drop-ins $35 by arrangement only)

note ::  Generally, one make-up lesson per series is allowed for missed classes. Other arrangements can be discussed as needed.

48 hour cancellation policy ::

Please call/email/text 48 hours prior to your appointment to reschedule or cancel.  Later cancellations stand as paid appointments unless I am able to fill the appointment.

My regular rates allow me to offer reduced rates to clients in need.  Please discuss your situation with me if you need treatment, but cannot afford to pay.  I love my work and am happy to offer reduced rates to those in need when possible.
