Item Description

Three pieces of pottery from the Black Hills, South Dakota. All signed by different potters and marked SPRC SD. All have a matte finish outside and glazed inside.

The largest is white clay with incised designs over colored bands of brick, pale green, and brown. It also has a faded sticker on the bottom: "Sioux Pottery, Made by Sioux Indians." Sioux Pottery was a store in Rapid City, South Dakota, opened in 1958. 6" tall x 4.5" wide with 3.75" top opening. Well used, not clean.

The two smaller pots are about 3.75" tall x 3" wide. Both have different incised designs. One is red clay with a paler colored base. The other is red clay with a soft blue base. Clean but dusty.

The winning bidder may pick up this item between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday at the Breast and GYN Health Project, 987 8th Street, Arcata, CA (Next to the Arcata Co-op). We will be closed on November 28th and 29th for Thanksgiving.
