Item Description

This platter is a rare find for this condition. It is 15 inches across and is called Ringware because of the simple ring pattern aroung the platter. It is in excellent condition as it has no chips or cracks. Imprinted on the bottom are "Bauer" and "Los Angeles". Bauer pottery is coveted for its bright colors and simple design.

Previously owned and well taken care of.

Additionally, a previous owner wrote her name in nail polish.

Bauer Pottery
Starting in Louisville, Kentucky and then flourishing in Los Angeles, California, Bauer Pottery Company created simple yet beautiful ceramics from the late 1880s to the early 1960s. Inspired by the weather and lifestyles of Southern California, Bauer Pottery created many different lines for the home and garden. New styles in bright colors were introduced soon after the Depression, and these quickly became a smashing success.
